Jute, hessian, burlap…..whatever you call it, we just love it!  This coarse, woven fabric is made using fibres from the stem and outer skin of the jute plant.  The resulting material is not only strong and durable but it is also 100% bio degradable and recyclable making it one of the most environmentally friendly fabrics on the planet.

This is one of the reasons that we have chosen jute for our products. But as well as being sustainable it is also incredibly versatile.  Jute is available in a wide variety of weights, weaves and colours lending itself to so many different creations. These variations together with the natural imperfections of jute mean that each of our creations is unique in its own way.

We get immense satisfaction from taking a very utilitarian object in the form of a used coffee sack and creating something beautiful, unique…..and often useful in a completely different way.
